There's no rocker like an old rocker

I had the excellent good fortune to be invited down to a Secret Cinema event yesterday. Secret Cinema is an organisation that puts on monthly screenings but makes them much more fun than just watching a film. For starters, you don't know for sure what you'll be watching...

Yesterday's film was Anvil! The Story of Anvil, and what a treat we had. As the lights came up, a spotlight swirled overhead to reveal front man Lips in the balcony, playing his ax in true Anvilicious style (partly with his tongue...). After which he bounded on stage with the energy of a man half his age and proceeded to cheerfully mug his way through a short set. I don't even like heavy metal, but this was fabulous. Can't wait for the next one.
