How She Move
A quicky DVD review

How She Move is one of those ‘girl finds self through medium of dance’ films beloved since Dirty Dancing (isn’t it about time someone remade The Red Shoes for a bit of balance); the story of Raya (Wesley), an honour student forced to return to public school after the death of her smack addict sister, it explores her rediscovery of her unlikely passion for stomp dancing, and is a mass of clichés. The dance sequences are muscular, energetic and reasonably entertaining, the scripts and performances less so.
